This Privacy Policy describes how UXcue (“we”, “our”, or “us”) handles information when you use:

• The browser-based notebook web app
• The ProfileSpaces Android companion app for secure signin & texts in vernacular language, which communicates securely with the web app via AWS Cloud API
• or, interact with UXcue digital experiences

We are committed to protecting your privacy and complying with applicable data protection laws, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (India) and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

1. Overview

Draftbook9 is a privacy-first notebook app that gives you complete control over your content. Your notes remain stored locally in your device’s web browser, and you can delete or download them anytime.

We do not collect personal information such as your name, email address, or phone number, and we do not use analytics or tracking tools.

2. Information We Handle

2.1 Web App

Your notes and related content are stored locally in your browser’s storage (for example, LocalStorage or IndexedDB). This data never leaves your device unless you manually export or download it. We have no access to your stored content.

2.2 Android Companion App

The companion app allows you to create text in vernacular languages and securely transfer it to your web notebook using AWS Cloud API.

When you initiate the connection, a temporary secure user token is generated on the AWS API and displayed on the web app as a QR code. You scan this QR code with the companion app to complete secure authentication.

All content is transmitted via encrypted HTTPS/TLS channels. Once the text is successfully displayed on your web app, it is immediately and automatically deleted from temporary AWS storage. No copies, backups, or logs of your content are retained.

2.3 No Personal Data Collected

We do not collect or store:

• Names, email addresses, phone numbers, or addresses
• User Device identifiers, cookies, or analytics data

The app can be used entirely offline (except for the optional text transfer feature).

3. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)

Our limited data processing (temporary text transfer) is lawful under:

• Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) – when you choose to send text to the web app.
• Performance of a Contract (Art. 6(1)(b)) – since text transfer and display are essential to the app’s functionality.
• Legitimate Interest (Art. 6(1)(f)) – maintaining secure and reliable transfers.

No personal data is stored or processed beyond this temporary transfer.

4. Data Retention

• Browser Data: Stored locally on your device until you delete it.
• AWS Cloud Transfer Data: Processed only to deliver the text to your web app and deleted automatically once displayed or periodically.

We do not explicitly retain logs, backups, or archives of any user content.

5. Data Security

We implement strong security measures, including:

• End-to-end HTTPS/TLS encryption & other security measures
• Short-lived temporary AWS storage with automatic deletion
• No analytics, tracking, or third-party data sharing

6. User Rights (GDPR & DPDPA)

Although we do not collect personal data, you retain the right to:

• Confirm that no personal data is stored by us
• Delete or export your data locally
• Withdraw consent by discontinuing use
• Nominate a digital heir (as per DPDPA provisions)

7. Children’s Privacy

Our services are not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
